another year gone...

I can't believe how fast 2009 has flown by! It seems like yesterday I was sleeping the New Years Eve night away last year in 08'. haha Looking back at all my old blogs I read over one that talked about how excited I was for 2009 to change my life. Am I a psychic or what?! haha So to keep up with my tradition I shall recap some of the highlights of my year.

January to February were two slightly uneventful months. I started my classes and made new friends.

January 11th - Melinde and I meet Perez Hilton. I expected him to be a lot nicer than he really was. But he was still nice. Does that make sense?

February 17th - Danielle and I attend a meeting that changes our lives completely.

March 1st - Christina and I kicked off our concert calendar with We The Kings and The Maine. We make our return to Chubby Rain House of Tunes and freeze our butts off.

March 8th - I take my mom to see David Archuleta in concert. It was....interesting to say the least.

March 13th - Christina and I have our first ever guestlist experience and we see Valencia. "We all need a reason to believe."

I recieve my acceptance into the Disney College Program. My life as I knew it had changed.

April 4th - Craig Owens does a solo acoustic tour. It blows me away. We met Fred Mascherino from the Color Fred. he does a TBS song and I die a little.

April 10-11th - Bill Beckett does an acoustic tour. One show in Champaign, one in Chicago. Both amazing.

April 24th - The Academy Is... do a few college shows in the south suburb area. With Butcher on bass it was a different kind of show. Without Sisky it felt off but it was interesting to see the Butcher out from behind his drum kit.

May 1-3rd - I make a triumphant return to New Jersey for the Bamboozle! This year I added Hoodwink to my schedule and was glad I did. Michelle and I had front row for an entire stage all night. Amazeballs. No Doubt played their second show since reuniting. I am blown away.

May 13th - Another Academy Is... college show. I won an Octo Drive and everyone became jealous of me that day.

June and July were spent mostly in summer school and working. I had to save $$ for Disney after all!

July 10th - Christina and I and my little cousins see the Jonas Brothers. SWEEET CAROLINEEEE BAH BAH BAAAAAH!

July 31st - Christina and I head out to Six Flags to see Gym Class Heroes, Boys Like Girls and yes...The Academy Is... play a show. Totally random.

August 1st - Warped Tour! We managed to get a job working catering for two hours and met nearly all the bands we wanted. Alex Gaskarth drank a smoothie Christina and I made for him. The 3OH!3 guys didn't want our smoothies and they regret it to this day. ;) bahaha We hardly saw any bands due to catering but I finally saw You, Me and Everyone We Know after Christina has begged me to see them for the past year and a half. This is the last time we see Craig Owens with Chiodos.

August 7-9th - LOLLAPALOOZA! I managed to snag a three day pass for $60. We see so many bands I feel like I can die happy. Kings of Leon, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Snoop Dogg, and The Killers are among the highlights.

August 15th - Officially the best concert I've been to in my history of going to concerts. Christina and I manage to get the barricade for the Blink 182 reunion tour. I have no words. I'm simply speechless.

August 16th - I leave everything I've ever known behind and begin my drive to Orlando to start my Disney Internship.

August 19th - I am officially a Disney cast member. I move into my apartment and meet five of the most amazing girls in the world...my roommates. Chosen at random.

I start my job at Once Upon a Toy. I'm thrilled I don't have to deal with clothing. A breath of fresh air.

I form a friendship so strong from the start that without her now, I don't think I'll be able to breathe.

Life at Disney is amazing. I get into the parks for free and take full advantage of that privellege.

September 14th - I finally turn 21! I get so drunk I puke and pass out! Typical 21st brithday of course. I celebrate hungover the next day with my neighbors.

September 15th - Candice and I discover I-bar. We now have a place to spend our Tuesday nights. Gritz and Gravy officially becomes our jam.

October 25th - Candice and I see Hey Monday, We The Kings and All Time Low at the House of Blues. We managed to meet Cassadee and Mike from Hey Monday and Hunter from We The Kings. We were however, unsuccessful at getting a threesome with Jack.

October 27th - The show I've waited for since I started my internship. The AP Tour Fall Ball featuring The Academy Is... Candice finally gets to meet the band (well Bill, Mike and Chiz.) I'm happy.

November 7th - Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship, The Maine and A Rocket To The Moon stop through on some OP tour?! Bryan Donahue is a total cutie in person. Alex Suarez remembers our "...oh hey" bit from last years warped tour. we take the cutest picture EVER!

November 14th - Betsy turns 21. There is much celebration. Perhaps too much?

November 25th - Candice and I see Cartel and fall in LOVE with This Providence. Seriously you guys should check them out. They are a band to watch out for in the new year for sureeee. I run into the guitarist for Cartel at Ibar later that evening. I don't wanna talk about that. haha

November 27th - I celebrate Thankgiving without my family this year but it's all good.

I dyed my hair brown sometime early December.

December 15th - We finally get our graduation ears! It starts setting in that we're leaving.

December 19-25th - After five months I'm finally reunited with my family. We spend Christmas at All-Star Sports. Classy I know.

December 27th - And so begins my week at Animal Kingdom working in Asia at Expedition Everest.

December 29th - I turn into a blubbering idiot at our second to last night at ibar when Bohemiam Rhapshody is played. I can't imagine how I'll be next week. Hopefully more or less intoxicated.

and so here I am. It's 1:24 in the morning and I'm finishing this blog. This year really has been the most amazing of my life. This experience has changed my life in so many ways. and I'll be sad to leave next week. but that's a seperate blog in itself. untill then...2010...show me what you got!

The end is near...

I can't get over how fast time has flown by! It feels like yesterday I was moving into my apartment and meeting my roommates. This experience has changed my life. And I can't wait to reflect on these past few months. Lately things have been really good. Our apartment has a tree and we all have stockings. I've been getting along real well with my roommates. And I've been trying to have as much fun as possible before I return to bitter winter cold. I don't have much else to talk about. We're getting another roommate tomorrow since Cat left. It seems silly to put someone in a house with people who are already so bonded and are leaving in a month. According to my calendar we've got only 4 or 5 more tuesdays left to enjoy ibar. I'm gonna miss it so! Haha
