pay it forward...

so today i was back at work. it started off miserable. my boss lectured me about things I cared nothing about and the customers were incredibly annoying...until one came along. i met this lady who was buying two Guess jackets for her daughters. she asked my opinion on the two and i told her they were gonna love them. one of the jackets was a leopard faux fur jacket. I told her she made a good choice and that the leopard jacket was my absolute favorite and i was in love with it. after finishing her purchase i bagged her items and she was on her way. about 5 minutes later she came back with another leopard jacket and said she wanted to get another one for her older daughter so they wouldn't fight over which jackets they liked. she asked me what size i wear because i was the same size as her daughter. i rang it up and the reciept printed out i asked her if she wanted the new jacket in the same bag as the others. she told me the jacket was for me. at first i thought she was kidding. but she was serious. i told her i couldn't accept that that it was too much. and she started to walk away and was serious about giving me the jacket. i mean this jacket was $90! NINETY FREAKING DOLLARS! i couldn't just accept it. but she gave me a hug and just left. i was so overwhelmed with emotion i started crying. that has got to be the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. so i'm making it a mission to a.) find this woman and give her gifts up the wazoo and b.) pay it forward. have you ever seen that movie pay it forward? its so good. it starts helen hunt kevin spacey and hayley joel osment. but its basically about people doing nice things for strangers and hoping they'll do the same by paying it forward. so I need some ideas. got any?

That's what I thought.
I understand there's no "age limit" on what you can and can't do on the internet (except visit porn sites obv.) but seriously. there are just some invisible lines that aren't meant to be crossed. wasn't facebook created by a college guy for college kids? i mean, i used to have a teacher in high school that had a facebook and a few months into his first year teaching he deleted it!

So I'm pretty much ashamed of my own mother. It's been a great week.

backkk to school

School started up again yesterday. I was late to my 8 am because of the ridiculous amount of snow. I couldn't find a parking spot so I parked in a faculty spot. You'd think with it being the first week of school and things being as hectic as they are that they MVPD would be a little understanding? Nope! I got a $25 parking ticket. What a joke! So I was pretty pissed about that. But regardless. My classes all seem amazing. I don't know how I'm going to get through my 8 am Geology class. It's gonna be brutal. I don't know anyone but I'll manage. My Literature class seems really fun and my teacher reminds me of Jack from Will and Grace. I don't know if he's actually gay though. haha I also really like that class because I actually have some CUTIES! haha Yayy something to look forward to. haha Finally my philsophy class. I think I'm going to enjoy this the most. My old friend Danielle from my photography class two semesters ago is in it with me and it'll be nice to know someone. Possible cuties in this class as well.

So it's been decided that I'm 85% sure I'm going to Bamboozle. But I'm pretty postive that I'm going 100% for sure. I'm so excited!

hello 2009

I just want to start this blog off by saying I cannot wait for 2009 to change my life. I feel so optimistic about this new year and I've never felt so excited and postive for a new year to start. So far I've been keeping up with my new years resolutions. I know it's only been 4 days but I feel like it can only go up from here. It's been 4 days without meat or cigarettes. And those two things are probably two of the hardest things for me to give up since I've been so used to having them on a daily basis. A lot of people have been asking me...why meat? and I really can't answer that question. I just don't see the point in eating an innocent animal. So shut up and support me with my decision okay? Today Melinde and I are going tanning and to work out. I haven't seen her in a while so it'll be nice to catch up. I read Bill Beckett's blog the other day and he mentioned some touring news within the next week. If TAI goes on tour I will be the happiest girl in the world and I just might die a little. TAI still gives me that happy feeling whenever I listen to them and I can't help but smile. No other band has had that effect on me. I hear songs like Almost Here and Summer Hair=Forever Young and I just can't help but remember some of the greatest days of my life. Well, I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day. You should do the same.
